Mission

FUNCEDESCRI is a nonprofit organization with the mission of serving the poor communities of Northwestern Guatemala by providing them the educational, economic, and material resources necessary to catalyze their own comprehensive community development.

Specifically, FUNCEDESCRI sponsors small development projects which include startup funding and technical, organizational, and administrative training sessions that empower partner communities to bring about their own social change.

Vision

The vision of FUNCEDESCRI is to foster solidarity between the poor for the poor through personal empowerment and comprehensive, sustainable development in the Northwestern communities of Guatemala. FUNCEDESCRI provides technical trainings and educational workshops for women and men based on the belief that developing human potential contributes to a just and unified society.
